Half a year following his disappearance, authorities discovered the skull and bone fragments of a 22-year-old man in a septic tank, revealing a story of romance, deceit, and homicide in Madhya Pradesh.
The event took place in Deoria city within the state, where Prince Balmiki, who resides in Sagar district, vanished without a trace. On August 20, his wife informed authorities that her husband was missing. Despite the police's attempts, no clues were uncovered, and the case was discreetly closed, according to Sources.
Nevertheless, the family claimed that Prince's vanishing was intentional and continued to pursue the case.
The discovery occurred when law enforcement dug up a septic tank behind the suspect's residence, uncovering a skull and bone fragments.
The suspect was located when the police tracked his mobile phone in Narsinghpur. The individual, named Shoaib, reportedly admitted to drugging and killing Prince due to a romantic relationship.
Love, treachery, and murder
Once the authorities located the missing case and identified the victim, details about the wife's involvement with the primary suspect came to light. The police discovered that the suspect, Shoaib, had a relationship with Tulsi prior to getting married.
A month into their marriage, Tulsi's behavior allegedly shifted, leading to frequent arguments between the couple at home. Shortly thereafter, they relocated to Deori and began living with Tulsi's parents.
Upon relocating to Deori, Shoaib reportedly became friends with Prince and introduced him to drugs. Shoaib, who was also struggling with addiction, was clandestinely meeting Tulsi. When Prince found out, the situation between them intensified.
According to Sources, the police reported that Shoaib admitted to sedating Prince before killing him. He is accused of disposing of Prince's body in a septic tank located behind his residence and concealing it with trash.
For almost a month, Shoaib observed the location and applied salt to the body to speed up decomposition. According to the report, when the police dug up the tank, they discovered human remains, including a skull and other bones.
In the meantime, Tulsi and Shoaib escaped to Gujarat and were residing together.
Prince's sibling expressed that the family harbored doubts regarding his death, never accepting it as an accident. 'We never believed he just disappeared. We consistently pushed for an inquiry,' he reportedly stated.
