GRACE MARKS BENEFICIAL
While grace marks have benefited 81,730 students in the state, for some to pass, and for some to score higher marks, teachers in the city are quite happy about it.
“I am very happy with the state board’s decision to give students marks based on their extra curriculum as well. This encourages students to take up sports. We have been promoting students to get involved in such co-curricular activities. Our school always makes it a point that if any student’s sports competition clashes with the examination then we reschedule their exam according to their convenience,” said Veena Havanurkar, Principal of Symbiosis Primary and Secondary School.
RESULT NOT DELAYED
While the SSC result is usually declared in the first week of June every year, Gangadhar Mhamane, Chairman, MSBSHSE stated that although it is declared in the second week this year, it is not actually delayed. “This year, SSC exams started later than usual, that is on February 15, when every year, they begin in the first week of June. Considering this, the result is not really delayed, but is actually on time,” Mhamane explained.
The students will be given their marksheets at their respective schools on June 24. The supplementary examination for those who failed will be held July 18 onwards.
