CJI Justice Bobde’s Harley Davidson picture goes viral and netizens can’t keep calm

The 47th and the current Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobde was spotted in Nagpur flaunting his love for a Harley Davidson bike, while netizens wonder the status of his mask and helmet.

Bobde has been doing remarkable work in the field of law and has a great track record when it comes to several key-judgements. He was a part of the five-judge bench constitution which delivered the recent verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case.

He was also a part of the three-judge bench which suspended the sale of firecrackers in Delhi in 2016 which came as a reaction to curb pollution in the city.

When the sexual harassment allegations were made against former CJI Gogoi, Justice Bobde headed the committee and heard the case. The case questioned the credibility of the judiciary but the way committee headed by Justice Bobde handled the case, the public trust was restored.

However, recently when he was spotted in Nagpur riding a Harley Davidson owned by the son of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonba Musale, the photo quickly went viral on the internet. But questions about his mask and helmet quickly arose among netizens. While people were surprised to see the dashing new look of CJI on Harley Davidson. CJI’s weekend picture has set Indian’s hearts racing.

In the view of the contagion situation in the country, though the picture was well received many criticised him for not wearing a mask. As COVID-19 contagion remains prevalent in the country, wearing a mask has become essential for the safety of people. Even in the picture of CJI, many people are wearing masks but as he is not wearing it many questioned about it.
