Dr Amol Kolhe shares his views on the reservation for Maratha community

Mumbai: "There is a feeling of anger in the state as the Supreme Court has postponed the Maratha reservation. In the Supreme Court, the Maharashtra state government is accused of failing to defend the Maratha community. The decision to recruit police in the state has provoked angry reactions from the Maratha community. Similarly, if the time comes, the OBC community should open its heart and accommodate the deprived in the Maratha community." Expressed Amol Kolhe.

In this regard, Dr Amol Kolhe said that it is the role of the Maharashtra state government to get Maratha reservation, as stated by the Chief Minister, the Mahavikas Aghadi government is committed to giving Maratha reservation. There is no doubt that the Chief Minister has clarified his position. The Central Government can intervene in this matter. He said that the Maratha community should get a reservation in any way.

"Also, do what is right in this, it is better if the Maratha community gets reservation without affecting OBC reservation. But as per the 2011 census, 52 per cent OBCs have 27 per cent reservation. That is, the reservation is lower than the population. But if the time comes, the OBC community can increase reservations and give reservations to the deprived in the Maratha community. It is everyone's role to get a reservation. At the same time, looking at the Centre's policy now, Amol Kolhe has appealed to the youth to focus on quality while the reservation is important while many things are moving towards privatization," said Dr Kolhe.

"It would have been better if the bill had been brought after discussing with the farmers' leaders. A study of the Agriculture Bill raises the question of whether the sector should be handed over to corporates. Should there be competition, has the Agricultural Produce Market Committee been given competent arrangements? The central government should decide in the interest of the farmers. Sharad Pawar was the Agriculture Minister of the country for 10 years. During his tenure, many decisions were taken in the interest of the farmers. "Our role is to lift the ban on onion exports," he added.

Many important questions facing the country

The central government has stopped providing aid to Maharashtra from September 1. MPE Amol Kolhe has alleged that PPE kits, N95 masks and other facilities have been stopped. Also, while commenting on the controversy in Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut has been slapped with the words, "We have to decide how much importance we should give to an actress. There are many important issues facing the country."

"Doubts are being raised around the film industry, which employs over 5 lakh people, and action must be taken against those who come forward in the drug case. They are working in the industry like unorganized workers, they don't have any status when they are at the peak of their fame, everyone asks, I don't think there will be a shortage of drugs in the Marathi industry. It is unfortunate to go on a diet of drugs. Because many young people look at artists as role models," said Amol Kolhe.
