Five per-cent admissions for sportsperson through management quota

Pune: The trustees of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal have decided to give 5 per cent admission through management quota to the sportsperson of 11th standard in S. P. College and NMV (boys and girls). The chairman of the board of governors of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Adv. S. K. Jain, member Satish Pawar and Sir Parashurambhau College's Principal Dr Dilip Sheth announced the news. This process of admission will commence after the 10thresult are announced.

In the admission process of 11th standard, the institution has the liberty to fill 5 per cent of seats at the institutional level. Under that, the institution has appointed Special Sports Management Quota Admission Council. This council is consist of Principal, Sports director of S. P. College and three representatives of the management committee. To give the admission to students through management quota special policies are planned.

Trustees of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Satish Pawar, Ashok Wajhe, Ranajit Natu, Principal Dr Dilip Sheth and Ranajit Chamle have planned policies by studying different aspects critically. As per the policies, students who are sportsmen will be offered admission through 5 per cent management quota. According to the policies, players of Cricket, Football, Hockey, Athletics, Gymnastics, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Mallakhamb, Badminton, Tennis, Table tennis, Shooting, Archery, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball and Chess will get preference for the admission through the quota.

The players, who have achieved different medals and have done a remarkable performance at international, national, Maharashtra state and district level, will be considered for admission. Also, it is a must to fill the form for central admission before admission. Once the central admission process is over than 5 per cent quota's admission process will commence.
To motivate sports persons and support them, various schemes are being planned. Adv. S. K. Jain told that players will perform remarkably at international, national, state and district level and name of the country, state and district will be known for the achievements. Therefore such policies are important.
