Mumbai: Maharashtra will organise over 20 cultural festivals to boost tourism in the state, the government recently announced. The festivals in different regions of Maharashtra will be organised by The Regional Offices of the Directorate of Tourism along with local district administration. The festivals will be held keeping the COVID-19 restrictions in mind.
Six divisions in Maharashtra have been selected for the festivals that are going to be held this month and March. Konkan, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Pune and Nashik are among the selected ones. Talking about Marathwada region which remains secluded will also see 13 cultural festivals scheduled to be organised in the Osmanabad, Beed, and Nanded district of Aurangabad division. Many other festivals will also be conducted to the Amravati division and Nagpur division.
