Sakal Relief Fund donates Rs 1 crore for flood-affected

PUNE: As Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara cities have been inundated with water and the flood has devastated their lives, Sakal Relief Fund has rushed to help them in this hour of despair.

Thus Sakal Relief Fund has decided to contribute towards the flood-affected regions by donating an amount of Rs 1 crore. 

It has also appealed to people to donate towards the relief fund generously. 

Considering the disaster, the government machinery might not be adequate in providing the relief and thus, society should come forward in this time of devastation and help the persons in need. 

The rehabilitation of these flood-affected people was difficult and it needs joint effort by the society to help them limp back to normalcy. 

Hence, Sakal Relief Fund has decided to play the role of a coordinator between various NGOs who have been in touch with Sakal to provide the relief to the needy.

THE DONORS CAN HELP/ DONATE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
You can donate the amount in cash too. The donations made for the relief fund will be exempted under section 80G. The amount can be given at the Sakal Times office located at Sakal Papers Pvt Ltd, Plot No 27, Narveer Tanaji Wadi, Near PMT Depot, opposite St Francis School, Shivajinagar, Pune 411005, contact number (020-25602100, fax: 020-25602200) in the city from 11 am to 6 pm. The collection starts from today (Saturday, August 10).

Interested candidates who want to work as volunteers too can inform us about it.

Sakal has appealed to various NGOs from Pune and surrounding regions who were ready to provide relief to the affected people, should inform them about the kind of help they would be providing to the affected region, to Sakal.
