Mumbai: Trouble seems to be rising for Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government as speculations over resignation of Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde made buzz on Thursday.

According to sources, Dhananjay Munde is ready to resign from the post after allegations have landed him in a controversy of rape. Though, Munde denied allegations of rape by a woman, claiming he has been in a relation with her sister for years, the news of Minister resigning is talk of the town. His admission of his extra-marital relationship has created a key political controversy in the state.

An FIR has yet to be filed on the woman's complaint.

Meanwhile, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar talking to media persons on Thursday said, “Dhananjay Munde has reported me all things about the case. As a party, we need to take the further steps. It will be done after talking to all senior members of the party.”

WHAT IS THE CASE

The 37-year-old woman, wrote to the Mumbai police on January 10, alleging that Munde had repeatedly raped her 15 years back. She also tweeted tagging NCP leaders such as NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and claimed that she had rushed to the police but her complaint was not accepted. She also requested help from the former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

WHAT MUNDE SAID

In a Facebook post, Dhananjay Munde, said he is being blackmailed by the challenger and her sister. He stated that he had also filed a complaint with the police last year.

The 45-year-old, also said that he had been in a relationship with the woman's sister from last 18 years. The relationship was accepted by his family. He also explained that the matter is known to my family, my wife and other friends. This whole case has been built for blackmailing and defamation.
