Pune: MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) School of Economics and Commerce has signed two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Maharashtra Tax Practitioners Association (MTPA) and Tally Education Private Limited to provide students with industry exposure, practical training, and enhanced career opportunities in taxation, finance, and accounting.
The MoU with MTPA aims to equip students with practical knowledge in taxation and finance through:
Internships with industry professionals
Guest lectures, workshops, and seminars by seasoned tax practitioners
Specialized value-added certification courses bridging academic concepts with real-world applications
Dr. Anjali Sane, Dean, School of Economics and Commerce, MIT-WPU, emphasized: "This collaboration with MTPA provides students with hands-on exposure to taxation laws and practices, preparing them for real-world challenges in the finance industry. It enhances their professional expertise and employability in taxation and finance sectors."
Around 600 students from Second Year and Third Year B.Com programs will benefit from the certification courses offered by MTPA over a two-month period. Additionally, internship opportunities will be extended to final-year students, ensuring they gain practical industry experience.
Hands-on Training in Accounting & Auditing with Tally Education
MIT-WPU has also partnered with Tally Education Private Limited, a leading provider of accounting and business management training. This collaboration will offer:
Training in Tally software, widely used by small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
Skill development in accounting, auditing, and taxation
Industry-oriented courses to boost employability in financial sectors
