Pune: Persistent issues of irregular and low-pressure water supply in Pune’s central (peth) areas have led to numerous complaints from residents.
Despite repeated grievances, no improvements have been observed. To address the matter, MLA Hemant Rasane conducted an inspection in the Kasba constituency this morning, accompanied by municipal officials, including Nandkishor Jagtap, the Chief of the Water Supply Department.
During the visit, citizens voiced their dissatisfaction, highlighting that the water supply, which earlier lasted throughout the day, has now been reduced to limited hours.
Many residents from upper-floor apartments complained that low water pressure prevents water from reaching their homes. They also requested a fixed schedule for water supply to help them plan their daily routines better.
Responding to the complaints, MLA Rasane instructed the officials to prioritize resolving the issues. He emphasized the need for timely planning and effective water distribution to ensure adequate pressure across all areas.
Nandkishor Jagtap assured residents that the municipal administration would optimize the water supply system to maintain consistent pressure and establish a reliable supply schedule.
Speaking about the inspection, MLA Rasane said, "We reviewed the water supply situation in the constituency and directly heard the residents’ grievances.
Officials have been directed to resolve these problems without delay. Steps are being taken to ensure a consistent and sufficient water supply for all parts of the constituency."
