Pune: The long-awaited University Chowk bridge, which connects Bremen Chowk and E-Square, is set to partially open for traffic on May 1. The completion of this phase is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area. Meanwhile, construction of the bridges extending towards Baner and Raj Bhavan is scheduled to be completed by August, MLA Siddharth Shirole announced on Friday (March 28)
Relief for Commuters Amidst Traffic Woes
The University Chowk bridge project has been in progress for a long time, and the opening of one side of the bridge will bring significant relief to daily commuters. The full completion of the Baner and Raj Bhavan extension bridges by August will further streamline traffic movement in the area.
Shirole made these announcements at a press conference held to discuss key issues raised during the recent budget session. Prominent BJP leaders present at the event included Dattatraya Khade, Ganesh Bagde, Ravindra Salegaonkar, Sunil Pandey, Anand Chhajed, Kiran Orse, Sachin Wadekar, and Prakash Solanki.
