RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a powerful message in response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. Speaking at a public event, he emphasized that the ongoing conflict is not merely about sects or religions but a battle between Dharma (righteousness) and Adharma (evil).
Mohan Bhagwat condemned the terrorists who selectively killed people after asking about their religion, stating firmly that “Hindus would never do such a thing.” He highlighted that hatred and hostility are alien to Indian culture, but also made it clear that the nation will not silently endure such harm.
Addressing the grief and anger felt across the country, Bhagwat said, “To destroy evil, immense strength is necessary.” Drawing upon mythology, he referenced Ravana, who despite his knowledge and devotion, refused to change his evil ways, leading to his destruction by Lord Ram. Similarly, Bhagwat asserted that evil forces must be eliminated to restore peace and order.
He called for a strong and visible response from the nation, stressing that true non-violence requires strength. “If there is no strength, there is no choice. But when there is strength, it must be visible when needed,” he said.
Bhagwat also underscored the importance of unity among citizens as a deterrent to such attacks. “If we are united, no one will dare to look at us with ill intentions. And if someone does, their eye will be smashed,” he warned.
The Pahalgam attack, which took place in the Baisaran valley, shocked the nation with terrorists targeting tourists after asking their religion, a chilling act that Bhagwat said reminds us of the ongoing battle between good and evil.
His remarks have resonated widely, reinforcing calls for national solidarity and a firm stand against terrorism.
