Vinayak was rushed to a private hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Following his death, his wife, mother, sister, and two nephews filed a compensation claim against Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company, which had insured the tempo involved in the accident.

The compensation claim was officially filed on April 19, 2024. Given Vinayak’s monthly salary of ₹1,67,333, along with his age and financial dependents, the family initially demanded ₹2.85 crore.

However, after discussions, a final settlement of ₹2.44 crore was agreed upon. The claimants were represented by Advocates Sanjay Raut and Anita Raut, while Advocate Shyam Maheshwari, the legal counsel for the insurance company, played a crucial role in the negotiations.
