Bihar Police has suspended the police officer seen in a viral video, firing shots from AK 47 at the protestors in Bihar's Siwan on Sunday, July 25.

In a post on X, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi writes;

The entire system is downright murderous against students. News is coming in that AK-47 bullets have been fired at protesting students in Bihar, and hundreds of students have been arrested with FIRs being filed against them.

He also asked questions to PM, Mr. Modi, where did your promise go that no FIRs would be filed against students and they would be released? Instead, deadly attacks and brutality are being unleashed on them.

Concluding his tweet he also asked the PM to apologies to the country's students, and requested to take action against those who attacked the students.

Meanwhile, the monsoon session of Parliament was disrupted for the sixth consecutive day as the opposition demanded a government response to the use of force against student protesters on July 20.
