New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday presented Union Budget 2021-22. The budget for the financial year was special in many ways as it was being presented amidst challenges like COVID-19 outbreak. In such a situation, the eyes of common people and special people were set on the announcements of Finance Minister (FM).

The Union Budget directly impacts the pocket and expenses of the people thus common man is curious to know the new income tax slabs as well as has got cheaper and expensive.

We here have a list of what got cheaper and what got expensive:

Cheaper: Iron, steel, nylon clothes, copper items, insurance, electicity, steel utensils, dry cleaning, agricultural equipment

Costlier: Electronic items, Mobile phones, charger, leather shoe, Kabuli chana, pulses, urea, auto parts, gems

Earlier in this month, the FM had said that the budget for the fiscal year starting April will be 'like never before'.

The Budget on Monday was the first paperless budget in history of India. Nirmala Sitharaman replaced traditional red cloth ‘bahi-khata’ with a'Made In India' tab.
