Coronavirus: More than 19,000 people in the army infected

Pune: Indian Army personnel and officers have not escaped the clutches of the coronavirus outbreak that has spread across India.
In the last six months, 19,839 soldiers and officers from the three defence services have been infected with the coronavirus.

Most of these patients are found to be in the Indian subcontinent. Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik gave this information during the ongoing Parliament session.

In the army, 19,839 soldiers and officers have been infected with the corona. The highest number of 16,758 patients are from the ground. This is followed by 1365 patients in the Air Force and 1716 patients in the Navy.
Thirty-two Army personnel and three Air Force personnel and officers have been killed by Corona. Fortunately, no one in the navy was killed by Corona, Naik said. Detailed information has been given by the Ministry of Defence from the Central Government.
