In a post on X, Mahua Moitra shared a video alleging that BJP workers were harassing her. The footage shows the Krishnanagar MP standing at her window while individuals, described as workers of the ruling BJP, hurl eggs and vegetables toward it.

In the video, she can be heard saying that she has contacted the DGP. The police present and CRPF personnel are merely observing. This is a BJP mob; even after reaching the scene, the police and CRPF officials remained passive and refrained from intervening to stop the crowd.

West Bengal government will deny to do even an FIR, no police will take cognisance no court will take cognisnace, she exclaimed.

In another incident on June 29, local residents hurled eggs at Debasish Saha, husband of former TMC MLA Nilabati Saha, accusing her of having carried out no development work during her term in office.

On 30th June, Abhishek Banerjee (TMC National General Secretary, MP) was attacked in Sonarpur, South 24 Parganas. Banerjee was on visit to meet families of TMC workers allegedly affected by post-poll violence.

A crowd, which the TMC claimed consisted of BJP workers and supporters, harassed him by shouting "thief" and other slogans, throwing stones, eggs, and shoes at him, physically assaulting him with slaps and punches, and ripping his shirt.

Likewise, on 31st May following the Sonarpur incident, while presenting a deputation/memorandum at Chanditala Police Station concerning post-election arrests of TMC workers, Kalyan Banerjee was surrounded by a crowd. Demonstrators waived black flags and chanted slogans and he suffered a head injury and collapsed.
