Another prominent voice has backed the Cockroach Janta Party's campaign, with actor Prakash Raj set to attend its Bengaluru protest on Sunday as the movement seeks accountability over alleged examination irregularities and calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

“Big Announcement: Activist Prakash Raj Will Be Joining CJP’s Peaceful Protest At Bengaluru!” the Cockroach Janta Party said in a post on X.

In separate posts on X, Prakash Raj confirmed that the actor would participate in the Bengaluru protest. Raj wrote on X, “I am travelling to reach Bengaluru .. to support this relevant peaceful protest.. please join us to raise our voice and make the government accountable for its failure.”

A regular critic of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the actor had initially been expected to take part in the CJP’s inaugural protest in Delhi. However, he later stated that he could not attend because of pre-existing professional commitments.

CJP protests across India

The CJP has staged protests across India, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities. Following demonstrations in Delhi, Pune, Lucknow and Amritsar, the group is set to hold protests in Bengaluru and Hyderabad on Sunday, where activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to address participants. Dipke has also called for a mass mobilisation in Delhi on June 20.

Dipke said the movement aims to secure justice for NEET and CBSE students and hold authorities accountable for alleged paper leaks. He reiterated that protests would continue until the education minister resigns and urged students to join a planned mass mobilisation at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on June 20. Earlier demonstrations, including one in Delhi, drew hundreds of participants, many of them students and young people.
