Tamil Nadu Elections 2021: AIADMK released first list of candidates; CM K Palaniswami to contest from Edappadi

On Friday, AIADMK unveiled the first list contesting candidates mentioning six leaders.

The ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) released its first list for the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. Unveiled on Friday, the first list contains six candidates.

According to the list, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will contest from the Edappadi constituency, while Deputy CM O Panneerselvam will contest from Bodinayakanur in the Theni district.

Other names mentioned in the list include D Jayakumar (Fisheries Minister) and C V Shanmugam (Law Minister). While Jayakumar will contest from Royapuram, Shanmugam will fight from Villupuram. MLAs SP Shanmuganathan and S Thenmozhi have been given tickets from Srivaigundam and Nilakottai (reserved) segments, respectively.

4) Vizhupuram - CV Shanmugam ,

5) Srivaigundam (reserved) – SP Shanmuganathan

6) Nilakootai (reserved) - S Thenmozhi

The AIADMK leadership said that the party will be finalising the seat-sharing with the BJP and the PMK in the days to come and will release the next list of candidates immediately.
