Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan admitted to ICU

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s health has deteriorated as, he was shifted to the ICU at a hospital in New Delhi where he has been admitted from August 24.

His son and LJP President Chirag Paswan wrote an emotional letter to his partymen lodging at length how he has not been able to give time for the seat-sharing talks within the NDA.

In an open letter, Chirag said although he wanted to meet party workers associated with the Assembly elections, he could not do so because he had to be by the side of his father who is is admitted to a hospital in New Delhi. Bihar is slated to have Assembly elections in October-November.

Ram Vilas Paswan on September 11 informed that he has been hospitalised with an illness for some time and his son Chirag will take complete charge of the party. Paswan in a series of tweets stated that his health started to deteriorate some time ago during the COVID-19 crisis, but he did not go to a hospital because he, as food minister, had to fulfil his responsibilities. “There was no laxity in the work. I continuously served the country as food minister and made every effort to ensure food reaches on time everywhere,” he wrote.
