The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on March 6 announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. After a rigorous selection process, comprising the written examinations held in August 2025 and the personality tests conducted until February 2026, the Commission has recommended 958 candidates for appointment to India’s top administrative and diplomatic services.
The Commission has put forward 958 candidates for different roles, but their final appointments depend entirely on the number of vacancies the Government reports for each service.
The merit list from UPSC opens the door for the upcoming batch of officers to enter the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and several Central Services in Group 'A' and Group 'B'.
