Pune, 11 August 2025: Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s location has become a mystery following his unexpected resignation last month. Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Kapil Sibal expressed concern over Dhankhar’s unexplained absence, saying that neither he nor other opposition leaders have been able to get in touch with the former vice president.

Sibal pointed out that Dhankhar is not staying at his official residence. When he contacted Dhankhar’s personal secretary, he was told that Dhankhar was resting, but no further information was available. Sibal appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make a public statement regarding Dhankhar’s whereabouts to ease worries about his health and safety.

In the middle of these developments, Pune has been a focal point of political discussions, with various leaders and parties expressing their concerns over the situation.

Adding to the tension, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut stated that the party is considering filing a habeas corpus petition, indicating serious concern over the former vice president’s disappearance.

Sibal also made a light comment comparing the situation to the mysterious ‘Laapataa Ladies’ cases but emphasized that this is the first time a vice president has gone missing in such a manner, saying, “We simply do not know where he is.”
