Pune: In a major relief to motorists, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced that there will be no increase in toll charges on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway until April 30, 2030. This decision ensures stable toll rates for commuters using the expressway over the next seven years.
While toll rates at various National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) toll plazas have been revised this year, the Pune-Mumbai Expressway falls under MSRDC’s jurisdiction.
The toll revision policy for this expressway was determined on April 1, 2005, setting a predefined structure for toll increments.
The last toll revision on this route took place on April 1, 2023. As per MSRDC’s official statement, no further toll hikes will be implemented until April 30, 2030, putting concerns of increased travel costs to rest.
This decision is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters and transport operators who rely on the expressway for seamless connectivity between Pune and Mumbai.
