Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET), Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), and the New Zealand India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NZBCCI) have entered into a significant academic partnership. The agreement, signed at the PCET office in Nigdi, aims to provide students and faculty with opportunities for research, internships, and studies on New Zealand's tourism and economic development.
Mahesh Bindra, President of NZBCCI, emphasized that this collaboration would enhance employment-focused education and provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to expand their businesses internationally.
Key dignitaries at the signing included PCET President Dnyaneshwar Landge, Vice President Padma Bhosale, Secretary Vitthal Kalbhor, Treasurer Shantaram Garade, Trustee and PCU Chancellor Harshavardhan Patil, entrepreneurs Narendra Landge and Ajinkya Kalbhor, and Executive Director Dr. Girish Desai. Faculty members such as Dr. Ganesh Rao, Dr. Meenakshi Tyagi, and Dr. Aishwarya Gopalkrishnan were also present.
Indian-origin politician Mahesh Jaychand Bindra, who has represented New Zealand in its Parliament in 2014 and 2017, expressed his belief in the potential of this MoU to deliver global-standard education and career opportunities to students.
Dr. Girish Desai underlined the MoU's significance, stating that it would open doors for students to receive international exposure. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Aishwarya Gopalkrishnan, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ganesh Rao.
