The initiative aims to reduce environmental impact by encouraging citizens to opt for artificial immersion ponds or donate their idols instead of immersing them in natural water bodies.
PCMC has organized various activities, including eco-friendly Ganesh idol-making and decoration competitions at the school level, as well as contests for eco-friendly home decorations.
As part of the broader initiative, all necessary facilities will be provided at the immersion points on the day of immersion to ensure smooth and eco-friendly proceedings.
Through these widespread efforts, the PCMC encourages all residents to contribute to a more eco-friendly Ganesh festival this year by making sustainable choices during the immersion process.
