Pune: The Parimal and Pramod Chaudhari Foundation (PPCF) conducted the ‘Utkarsh Sammelan’ at MES Auditorium, Kothrud, to review the progress of its fellowship program aimed at supporting student education.
The event featured esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Dr. Sanjay Runwal, a management expert and business strategist; Pramod Chaudhari, Chairman of Praj Industries; and Parimal Chaudhari, Managing Trustee of the Praj Foundation. During the event, PPCF’s official website was launched by Chaudhari.
Fifteen students who excelled academically under the fellowship were honored alongside nine institutions that identified deserving candidates. The initiative celebrates students who demonstrate potential and determination, even if they do not qualify for traditional scholarships.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Runwal introduced the concept of “Doing Good in Life” (DGL), emphasizing that contributing to society transcends financial aid. He encouraged individuals to share their expertise, education, and experiences, inspiring the younger generation to pursue big dreams in today’s opportunity-filled world.
Parimal Chaudhari highlighted the transformative power of education, stressing its role as a gateway to equitable opportunities and advocating collective efforts to extend these opportunities to all.
Since its inception in 2021, the PPCF Fellowship has supported 2,593 students from schools, colleges, and vocational institutes within a 100-km radius of Pune. Applicants are selected through a rigorous process, including home visits to verify financial backgrounds. The fellowship program fully covers educational expenses, allowing students to focus solely on their studies.
The program's success was evident during the review at ‘Utkarsh Sammelan,’ where it was revealed that approximately 60% of beneficiaries are female. Additionally, 728 students have pursued vocational training, with 111 securing employment post-completion and contributing to their families’ financial stability.
The fellowship program, now in its fourth year, continues to empower students to become self-reliant, reinforcing PPCF’s commitment to social impact and education.
