

Rajesh Sharma, known for his roles in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Khosla Ka Ghosla, has reportedly been hospitalised after an insect bite he suffered while shooting for his upcoming film. His condition is said to have worsened after the incident. Actor Sudipa Chatterjee shared a health update on social media on behalf of Rajesh and his family.
Sudipa posted a note that read, "Rajesh Sharma Health Update- Actor Rajesh Sharma reportedly suffered an insect bite- possibly from a bug or a poisonous spider- while shooting at Ramoji Film City for a film starring renowned actor Prabhas."
The note states that Rajesh was talking with local technicians in a heavily vegetated area when he felt an insect bite. Believing it was not serious, he proceeded with the shoot.
Around six hours later, he started suffering from intense pain in his right leg and began to feel unwell. Even as his condition declined, he took a flight back to Kolkata. During the trip, he is said to have developed a high fever and become increasingly restless as his health worsened.
Rajesh was subsequently admitted to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria. As per the latest update, it has been a day since his hospitalisation, yet he is still suffering from shortness of breath, and the infection in his right leg is reportedly advancing quickly. The note further mentioned that the infection has extended from his toes to his knee, with large blisters forming over the affected region.
Rajesh is currently under close medical observation and is reportedly not yet out of danger. All necessary investigations and treatment are underway. Sudipa stated that another health update on the actor will be shared tomorrow and urged everyone to keep him in their prayers.
The news stunned fans. One user remarked, "What! Praying for his recovery." Another added, "He is among the finest actors... Get well soon." Many others also extended their wishes for the actor’s swift recovery.
