PUNE, 25 September 2025: The Aundh Post Office has introduced a state-of-the-art parcel packaging unit to provide high-quality packing services for both domestic and international parcels. This new facility will benefit residents of Aundh, Baner, and nearby areas who previously had to travel to the Pune General Post Office in Parvati for such services.
Responding to growing demand from citizens sending parcels abroad, the Pune City West Postal Division has set up the unit near Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Hall in Aundh. The facility was inaugurated by Abhijit Bansode, Director of Postal Services (Pune Region), in the presence of senior postal officials including Nitin Yewale, Senior Superintendent of Pune City West Division, and Yogesh Walunjkar, Business Development Manager.
The unit offers bubble wrapping, India Post logo-branded box packing, and strapping at affordable rates. Trained staff will handle the packing and booking of parcels to ensure secure delivery. “This service will save citizens the trouble of traveling to other offices for proper packaging and is especially useful for the upcoming Diwali season,” said Senior Superintendent Nitin Yewale.
Earlier, such packaging services were available only at the Pune General Post Office in Parvati. With this new addition, Aundh residents, small businesses, and e-commerce operators can now conveniently access professional packaging closer to home.
