Construction-related heavy vehicles such as dumpers, Hyva trucks, and concrete mixers (RMCs) will be allowed entry into city limits, including some parts of the usual restricted "Red Zone", during particular hours on specific dates. These dates include Saturdays, August 2, 9, 16, and 23, and Friday, August 15. However, this permission excludes the evening hours between 4 PM and 10 PM.

On Sundays, August 3, 10, 17, and 24, these vehicles will be allowed to operate throughout the day, even in the Red Zone areas. However, other heavy machinery such as JCBs, road rollers, and tractors will continue to be restricted regardless of the day.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav confirmed the move, saying that the permissions were temporary and aimed at balancing construction needs with the city’s traffic situation

Despite the temporary relaxation, several central and high-density areas in Pune, marked as Red Zones, will continue to have restricted access for heavy vehicles during most times. These include key stretches along Nagar Road, Old Mumbai–Pune Highway, Ganeshkhind Road, Baner Road, Paud Road, Karve Road, Sinhagad Road, Satara Road, Solapur Road, and parts of Kondhwa.
