Pune: Shirish Maharaj More, the 11th-generation descendant of Sant Tukaram Maharaj, died by suicide three days ago due to financial distress. His tragic passing has left his family devastated. In a suicide note, More had detailed the debts he owed and had even appealed to his friends to help his family repay them.

Now, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has stepped forward to support the grieving family. As part of his birthday initiative, he donated ₹32 lakh to the More family to help them recover from their financial troubles.
