Pune: The Central Railway’s Pune Division has announced a special train service to facilitate travel for devotees attending the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. This decision aims to ease the crowd in other trains and meet the growing demand from passengers during the festive period.

Train Schedule and Timings

The Pune-Mau special train (01455) will depart from Pune Railway Station at 10:00 AM on January 8, 16, and 24, and February 6, 8, and 21. It will reach Mau the following day at 10:00 PM.

For the return journey, the Mau-Pune special train (01456) will leave Mau at 11:50 PM on January 9, 17, and 25, as well as February 7, 9, and 22. It is scheduled to arrive in Pune at 3:45 PM on the third day of travel.

Route Details

The special train will traverse through several major stations, including Daund, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Cheoki, Varanasi, and Azamgarh. Halts will be provided at each station along the route to accommodate passengers.

Booking Information

Devotees can begin booking their tickets for the special train from December 20 through the online reservation system. The train will have a total of 18 coaches, comprising air-conditioned coaches for added comfort and six general coaches for regular passengers.

To ensure a smooth travel experience for pilgrims, Central Railway has carefully planned the schedule and route. Officials have advised passengers to book their tickets early due to the expected high demand.
