Pune Metro has introduced a new daily pass priced at just ₹100, allowing commuters unlimited travel on both metro corridors throughout the day. Valid from 6 AM to 10 PM, this pass offers passengers the freedom to hop on and off at any station multiple times, making it an economical and flexible choice for daily commuters, students, tourists, and office-goers alike.
The ₹100 daily pass grants unlimited rides on the entire Pune Metro network, covering the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court corridor and the Vanaz to Ramwadi corridor. Pass holders can enter and exit any station as many times as they want during the validity period, eliminating the need to buy separate tickets for each journey.
Commuters can purchase the daily pass at any Pune Metro station ticket counter. The pass is issued as a single journey ticket with extended validity for the entire day. For more information, users can contact the Pune Metro helpline at 1800-270-5501 or visit the official website (www.punemetrorail.org).
This new pass comes on the heels of recent expansions in Pune Metro’s network, including the 5.5 km extension from Vanaz to Ramwadi inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The metro now covers over 14.5 km, connecting key parts of the city within 36 minutes.
Plans are underway to further extend the network to Nigdi via PCMC, with four new stations planned, enhancing connectivity and making metro travel accessible to even more citizens.
Early adopters of the daily pass have praised its affordability and ease of use. “This pass has made my daily commute so much easier and cheaper,” said Anjali Deshpande, a college student. “I can travel freely without worrying about buying tickets every time.”
