The festival typically sees more people opting for buses instead of private vehicles. To meet the surge, PMPML deployed 1,994 buses across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) area. The inclusion of additional CNG buses from contractors made it possible to operate more services than last year.

Chief Transport Manager Satish Gawhane noted that the special arrangements for the festival and the increased fleet were key factors in reaching this milestone.
