Pune, 22 September 2025: Pune traffic police have announced traffic changes across major temple areas during the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri festival. From Today, September 22, to Thursday, October 2, vehicle movement will be restricted around Shri Tambdi Jogeshwari, Shri Chaturshringi, Shri Bhavani Mata, and Sarasbaug Mahalaxmi temples to manage the heavy flow of devotees.

Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Himmat Jadhav urged citizens to cooperate and use alternate routes to avoid congestion. He said these measures are essential to ensure smooth movement and safety during the festival period.

Pune: Chaturshringi Temple Navratri Festival Begins Monday

In the main city, routes leading to Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple and parts of Laxmi Road will remain closed to regular traffic. Access from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk will be restricted, and parking will not be allowed in and around the temple area. Visitors have been advised to park at the Mandai parking lot or riverbed road and walk to the temple.

On Senapati Bapat Road, traffic around the Chaturshringi Temple will be diverted via Vetal Baba Chowk, Deep Bungalow Chowk, and Om Super Market junction. Similar closures will be in place at Bhavani Mata Temple in Bhavani Peth, where the Mahatma Phule Road stretch will remain shut and parking will be banned. Drivers can use nearby marked parking zones on Pandit Nehru Road.

Additional restrictions will be enforced on Tuesday, September 23, from 5 am to 7 am at Sarasbaug Mahalaxmi Temple during the Shri Sukt Pathan rituals. Roads from Swargate to Savarkar Chowk via Sarasbaug and from Mitramandal Chowk to Puram Chowk will be closed temporarily. Vehicles coming from Mitramandal Chowk will be diverted through Savarkar Chowk and Sinhagad Road.
