
Pune: A luxury bus traveling toward Pune collided with a truck on the Pune-Solapur Highway, resulting in a fatal accident early Wednesday (December 25) morning. One person lost their life, while 15–20 others sustained injuries in the mishap.
The accident occurred near Visava Hotel in Khadki, Daund Taluka, when the bus rear-ended a truck. Emergency responders rushed the injured to a hospital in Bhigwan. Following the accident, traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted, but the police managed to restore normalcy within a few hours.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with preliminary reports suggesting a possible mismatch in the speed of the bus and the truck. The incident highlights the critical importance of adhering to traffic safety norms and controlling vehicular speed on highways.
