
Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on Handewadi–Manterwadi Road in Pune after being hit by a cement mixer truck.
The accident occurred near an HP petrol pump when their bike skidded, leading to a fatal collision.
Police arrested the truck driver and registered a case at Fursungi Police Station.
Pune, 2nd September 2025: Pune witnessed a tragic accident on Handewadi–Manterwadi Road, where a cement mixer truck ran over two motorcyclists, killing them instantly.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning near the HP petrol pump on Handewadi Road. The victims were identified as Santosh Pralhad Kamble (49), a resident of Ahilyanagar, Handewadi Road, and Sadashiv Gorakh Phulawale (36), from Uruli Devachi.
Police said the motorcycle skidded on the road, causing both riders to fall. At that moment, a cement mixer truck (MH 12 VF 3401) coming from behind ran over them, leading to their death on the spot.
The driver, Nagesh Nana Korde (35), from Uphalai in Solapur, has been arrested, and a case has been registered against him at Fursungi Police Station.
