Pune has witnessed a noticeable rise in temperatures over the past few days, causing winter chills to vanish and leading to an increase in daytime heat. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures have gone up, creating a warm and uncomfortable atmosphere for residents.
On Friday, January 17, the lowest minimum temperature of 13.8°C was recorded in the Haveli area, while Shivajinagar registered 15.5°C. The minimum temperature, which had earlier dropped to as low as 9°C, has now risen above 14°C.
For the last four days, the city and surrounding areas have been experiencing unusual weather conditions, including cloudy skies, sporadic unseasonal rainfall, and occasional mild cold spells in certain regions. Mornings have been marked by dense fog, while afternoons bring intense heat, making the weather pattern highly unpredictable.
In some areas, a slight coolness is felt in the late afternoon due to overcast skies, but this is limited to specific parts of the city. Other areas continue to experience uncomfortable warmth during the day.
The Pune Weather Observatory has forecast dry weather conditions for the next 24 hours, with no significant changes expected in maximum or minimum temperatures.
