
Pune, 20 July 2025: Water supply across several parts of Pune city has been severely disrupted today after a major pipeline burst occurred on the Parvati to SNDT route. The incident has affected both core city areas and suburban localities, leaving thousands of residents without water on a weekend.
The broken pipeline has led to water supply cuts in many neighbourhoods under two major SNDT supply zones – HLR and MLR.
Areas affected under SNDT (HLR) zone include:
Gokhale Nagar, Shivajinagar, Model Colony, Revenue Colony, entire Kothrud area, Wadarvasti, State Bank Colony, Shramik Vasahat, Happy Colony, Meghdoot, Tejas Nagar, Dahanukar Colony, Sutar Dara, Kishkindha Nagar, Jaybhavani Nagar, Rambaug Colony, Hanuman Nagar, Kelewadi, Gujarat Colony, Gadhave Colony, Dnyaneshwar Colony, Ideal Colony, Wadarwadi, Senapati Bapat Road, Janwadi, Vaidu Wadi, Police Line, Sangamwadi and surrounding areas.
Areas affected under SNDT (MLR) zone include:
Law College Road, Paud Road, Sheela Vihar Colony, Advait Society, Bhimanagar, Vedant Nagari, Kulshree Colony, Sahwas, Kshipra, Manmohan Society, Vitthal Mandir area, Gosavi Vasti, Karishma Society, Bandhan Society area, Mayur Colony, Karve Road (from Jhala Society to Chhatrapati Shivaji statue), Erandwane area, Dashabhuja Ganpati to Nal Stop, Sahakar Vasahat to Mhatre Bridge, H.A. Colony area, Bharat Kunj, Swapnamandir area, Patwardhan Baug, from Karishma Society to Warje Ward Office, and Girija Shankar Society area.
Citizens have been urged to use water judiciously until the repairs are completed and regular supply resumes.
