Pune: The winter chill is back in Pune and neighboring districts after a week-long spell of warm weather. Over the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature dropped significantly by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in various parts of the region.
According to data recorded, Haveli experienced the lowest minimum temperature at 13.3°C, followed by NDA at 13.9°C and Shivajinagar at 15.3°C.
This is a marked change from the temperatures earlier this month when unseasonal rainfall had pushed both minimum and maximum temperatures up to 20°C, making the weather unusually warm for December.
Temperature Drop Across Key Areas
The areas of Haveli, NDA, Pashan, Malin, and Shivajinagar witnessed a notable 2 to 3-degree drop in minimum temperatures over the past day. This has led to cooler evenings, with residents noticing a distinct chill in the air.
Weather Forecast for the Coming Days
The Pune Weather Observatory has predicted dry weather and clear skies over the next two days. Minimum temperatures are expected to dip further by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. Additionally, early mornings may see light fog, creating a typical winter ambiance in the region.
