Pune’s prominent Ganesh mandals have assured that this year’s immersion procession will be completed on time.
Police and civic authorities coordinated with mandals to create a smoother schedule, aiming to finish the route at least three hours earlier than last year.
Each mandal will limit music troupes and ensure discipline so that lakhs of devotees can enjoy a peaceful and organized celebration.
Pune, 6th September 2025: The city’s leading Ganesh mandals have pledged to complete this year’s Ganesh immersion procession within the scheduled time. They assured that the main procession will move out of Belbagh Chowk before 12:30 pm and cross Lokmanya Tilak Chowk by 4 pm, ensuring that the event progresses smoothly.
Representatives of the five prominent mandals, Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshibaug, and Kesariwada, interacted with the media on Friday. They said that close coordination with the police and civic authorities has helped establish a clear plan for the immersion route.
Kasba Ganpati Mandal president Shrikant Shete explained that discussions with Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol and police officials created a cooperative atmosphere. He noted that the focus this year is not on how many troupes accompany the mandals but on completing the procession within the timeframe.
To maintain flow, each mandal will be accompanied by only three groups, with restrictions on the number of drummers and performers. Organizers have also planned measures to avoid delays so that the immersion remains continuous and disciplined.
Lakhs of devotees are expected to join and witness the grand event. Mandal leaders expressed confidence that the streamlined arrangements will not only help complete the immersion faster than last year but also ensure that the spirit of unity and harmony remains at the heart of Pune’s celebration.
