Railway Job Fraud: Nashik Man Accused of Defrauding Pune Resident of ₹10 lakh

The accused has been identified as Rajesh Dinkar Rajguru (50), a resident of Harivishwa Apartment, Pathardi Shivar, Nashik.

Pune: A resident of Chinchwad has accused a Nashik man of defrauding him of ₹10 lakh by falsely promising a job in the Indian Railways.

The Bund Garden Police have registered a case of fraud against the accused, identified as Rajesh Dinkar Rajguru (50), a resident of Harivishwa Apartment, Pathardi Shivar, Nashik.

According to the complaint, the accused and the victim became acquainted in 2021. Rajguru allegedly assured the complainant that he had connections with high-ranking railway officials and could secure railway jobs for the complainant’s acquaintances.

Trusting these claims, the complainant transferred ₹10 lakh to the accused through a mix of cash and online payments.

Despite receiving the payment, Rajguru failed to deliver on his promise. Instead, he called the complainant to meet near the District Collector’s Office and sent an appointment letter via email, claiming the job of a Health Inspector in the Railways had been secured.

However, upon verification, the letter was found to be counterfeit. After realizing the fraud, the complainant filed a police report. Police Sub-Inspector Chavan is currently investigating the matter.
