Satish Wagh Murder: Neighbor’s Feud Led to ₹5 Lakh Contract Killing, Police Arrest Four

Pune: The Pune Police have apprehended four individuals in connection with the murder of Satish Wagh, uncle of MLC Yogesh Tilekar, revealing that the crime was a result of a personal dispute and carried out under a ₹5 lakh contract.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar disclosed that Wagh's neighbor orchestrated the murder following a personal feud. The neighbor hired contract killers, paying them ₹5 lakh to carry out the act.

The Crime Branch, with assistance from local police, successfully identified and arrested the suspects after examining 450 CCTV recordings and tracking the vehicle used in the abduction and murder.

“Four individuals, including the person who issued the contract, have been arrested. The investigation is progressing at a rapid pace. The Crime Branch and local police are working tirelessly to gather conclusive evidence to ensure strict punishment for the accused,” said Commissioner Kumar.

The abduction and murder, which took place over the past two days, prompted the police to deploy teams across the state. A thorough analysis of footage from 450 CCTV cameras led to the recovery of the vehicle used in the crime, which ultimately helped trace the suspects.

Commissioner Kumar emphasized the dedication and efficiency of the Pune police in solving the case, urging the public to trust law enforcement. “We are committed to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order,” he added.

The suspects remain in custody, and investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the planning and execution of the crime.
