Pune: Shaurya Dhol Tasha troupe has taken a significant step towards enhancing the professional prospects of its members by launching a "Pathak Directory," aimed at boosting the careers of drummers and offering job opportunities to students.

With a strong focus on social service, the troupe, which has been active since 2011, has consistently worked for the betterment of society through various initiatives.

The newly introduced "Pathak Directory" is designed to assist drummers by providing career guidance and connecting them to job opportunities.

Additionally, it offers training and mentorship for new members, helping them develop their skills and secure their financial independence. By fostering self-reliance, the troupe aims to ensure that the youth can navigate the professional world with confidence.

Led by President Umesh Agashe, the troupe of around 300 drummers has always prioritized social responsibility alongside their performances. Over the years, they have taken part in numerous initiatives that have positively impacted various social groups.

One of their notable programs is the "One Performance for Soldiers" initiative, where the troupe has been offering its services at the CTC Hospital during Ganeshotsav for the past 13 years as a tribute to soldiers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Shaurya Dhol Tasha troupe stepped up to support emerging artists by providing two months' worth of food supplies to ensure their well-being during the crisis.

Further, the troupe actively engages in blood donation drives for the army and organizes fort-cleaning campaigns every two months as part of their commitment to preserving Maharashtra’s heritage and helping the environment.

"Our aim is to keep our drummers engaged in activities that not only help their careers but also benefit society. We believe that through new projects and initiatives, we can make a bigger difference each year," said Umesh Agashe.
