Pune: The second phase of Shivsrushti, a historical and cultural project developed by Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan at Ambegaon Budruk, has been completed. This grand phase will be officially inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on February 19, coinciding with the celebrations of Shiv Jayanti.
The event will also witness the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, as announced by Jagdish Kadam, the chief trustee of the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan, in a press conference held at Shivsrushti. Other dignitaries, including trustee Vineet Kuber, advisor Sandeep Jadhav, and Shivsrushti manager Anil Pawar, were also present.
Key Attractions of Shivsrushti’s Second Phase
While addressing the media, Jagdish Kadam provided details about the second phase, which includes:
A grand welcome hall,
A time machine theater, offering a high-tech historical experience,
A magnificent Tulja Bhavani temple, honoring the family deity of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
This phase has been constructed with an investment of ₹87 crore and focuses on three core values that Shivaji Maharaj deeply upheld:
Swadesh (National Pride)
Swadharma (Religious Integrity)
Swabhasha (Respect for One’s Language)
A Unique Historical Experience for Visitors
One of the most innovative attractions in this phase is a state-of-the-art time machine theater, which enables visitors to travel back nearly 1,000 years and experience the historical era of Shivaji Maharaj firsthand.
The welcome hall features a replica model of the entire Shivsrushti project, divided into four phases. By pressing a button near each phase’s name, visitors can access detailed information about its significance and location within Shivsrushti.
Additionally, the hall showcases six high-resolution portraits of paintings related to Shivaji Maharaj, which are currently housed in prestigious museums worldwide. These portraits allow visitors to envision what Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj might have looked like.
Historical Records and Tulja Bhavani Temple
The project also provides detailed written records of Shivaji Maharaj’s battles, available in Marathi, Hindi, and English. Moreover, a grand temple dedicated to Goddess Tulja Bhavani, the family deity of Shivaji Maharaj, has been built as part of this phase.
This temple is an exact replica of the original Tulja Bhavani temple at Pratapgad, using the same type of stone as the original structure. With this addition, visitors to Shivsrushti will now have the opportunity to offer prayers and seek blessings.
