A man was injured after accidentally falling from the first-floor balcony of his house while trying to buy ice cream from a street vendor in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district. The bizarre incident, recorded on CCTV, has gone viral on social media.
Reports indicate that the man was on his balcony when he spotted an ice cream vendor passing along the street below. Rather than going downstairs, he shouted to the vendor and placed his order from above.
Attempt to collect ice cream ends in fall
The vendor halted beneath the balcony and reached up to pass the ice cream. As the man bent over the balcony railing to take it, he apparently lost his balance and fell to the ground..
The sudden fall left bystanders shocked, prompting family members and local residents to rush to the spot. They immediately provided assistance before the injured man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Condition stable, police confirm
Medical staff are currently caring for the wounded man, and authorities have stated that his condition is stable.
Responding to the widely shared CCTV clip, Sonbhadra Police stated, "We wish to inform that the individual seen in the viral video has suffered injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. The situation remains normal, and there are no concerns regarding law and order."
