Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has invited proposals for student-athletes appearing for the 10th and 12th board exams this year.
The deadline for submission is April 15, and the proposals must be submitted online by the respective sports officers. Additionally, the Education Officer (Secondary) has been instructed to submit proposals for NCC and Scout-Guide students to the respective Divisional Boards within the same deadline.
Eligibility for Additional Marks
Students who participate in sports, NCC, or Scout-Guide activities are eligible for extra marks in the board exams. To ensure a smooth process, the State Board has mandated an online submission system for all proposals. The initiative aims to streamline verification and approval processes efficiently.
Early Exams Lead to Earlier Proposal Deadline
With the board exams scheduled earlier than usual this year, the State Board has advanced the deadline for proposal submission. The board has emphasized that all proposals must be submitted online by April 15 to ensure timely processing and allocation of additional marks to eligible students.
The decision is expected to benefit student-athletes and those involved in NCC and Scout-Guide programs by ensuring fair recognition of their extracurricular achievements in academics.
