Concerns Over Safety at Historical Forts

This incident comes just a day after a tourist died of a heart attack at the fort on Saturday. With an increasing number of visitors at Torna and Rajgad Forts, safety concerns are growing. Many tourists, particularly youngsters, engage in risky stunts without any precautions, leading to accidents.

Former Vice-President of Rajgad Panchayat Samiti, Ananta Darwatkar, highlighted the urgent need for medical facilities and police personnel at the fort, especially on weekends, to prevent such incidents.

Archaeology Department guard Dadu Wegre also expressed concern over the lack of safety awareness among young visitors, stating that many accidents have occurred due to reckless behavior.
