Pune: A bizarre theft incident unfolded in Bhugaon’s Matalwadi area as petty thieves, unable to locate significant cash or valuables, chose to feast on chicken gravy and lollipops instead. The thieves targeted around 9–10 shops, breaking their shutters to gain entry. The incident, which occurred two days ago, has been captured on CCTV cameras but remains unreported to the police.

Among the affected establishments were Nikhara Shahi Biryani, Tushar Dairy, Amarale Misal, and others. At Nikhara Shahi Biryani, the culprits broke in, searched the counter drawer, and upon finding only ₹30, proceeded to the kitchen. There, they discovered a pot of chicken gravy, heated it on the gas stove, and ate their fill.
