Devlali: The Regiment of Artillery conducted its annual firepower training event, Exercise TOPCHI, at the Devlali Field Firing Ranges under the leadership of Lieutenant General Navneet Singh Sarna, Commandant of the School of Artillery.

The event was attended by distinguished participants, including student officers from the Defence Services Staff College (Wellington), Defence Services Technical Staff Course (Pune), Nepal Army Staff Course, cadets from various training academies, senior dignitaries, serving officers of the Indian Army, and members of the civil administration.

Exercise Highlights:

The exercise demonstrated the integrated use of advanced firepower and surveillance systems, showcasing a wide array of modern technologies. Live firing of cutting-edge artillery systems captured attention, with highlights including:

  • K-9 Vajra Self-Propelled Gun System

  • 155mm M777 Ultra-Light Howitzer

  • 155mm Dhanush

  • 155mm FH 77B02 (Bofors)

In addition, the event displayed state-of-the-art technologies such as:

  • Pinaka and Smerch Rocket Systems

  • Swarm Drones and Loitering Munitions

  • Advanced Drone Capabilities

The exercise underscored the Indian Army’s operational readiness and highlighted the integration of indigenous defense technologies, reflecting the nation’s progress toward self-reliance under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
