Pune police have announced traffic diversions on Sunday (February 16, 2025) in the Baner and Chatuhshrungi areas from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The diversions meant for a marathon event, covers key routes in Balewadi, Baner, Aundh, and Raj Bhavan.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, has announced temporary traffic restrictions under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Key Traffic Changes:

Road Closures:

  • Radha Chowk – Saykar Chowk (4:00 AM – 9:00 AM)

  • Saykar Chowk – Mamta Chowk (4:00 AM – 9:00 AM)

  • Raj Bhavan – Rishi Malhotra Chowk (Fully closed during the event)

Partial Road Access:

Two-way traffic will be allowed on the right side of the road in key sections such as Saykar Chowk, Mamta Chowk, Dasara Chowk, Lakshmi Mata Mandir, Ganesh Mandir Chowk, Jupiter Hospital Chowk, and Bremen Chowk.

The left side of these roads will be designated for marathon runners.

Parking and Halting Restrictions:

Strict No Parking & No Halting rules will be enforced along the entire marathon route from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Citizens are urged to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes during the event hours. Cooperation with traffic personnel and volunteers is requested to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic.
